STEAM STOP FOR VOLUNTEERS
On October 15th the Susquehanna steam engine number 142 made a photo stop at the New York, Susquehanna & Western's Sparta Railroad station. The station is being restored by volunteers under the direction of the Sparta Station Foundation, a committee of the Tristates Railroad Historical Society. Dave Rutan, Vice President of the Sussex Railroad Company (holding sign,) has volunteered several times in the effort to restore the station to it's former appearance.
